In July of 2008 Clint took the leap and started Raising The Barr
Fitness with one thing in mind... helping people reach their health and
fitness goals. He is extremely passionate about his business and the
small, private one-on-one setting allows him to really get to know his clients.
Raising The Barr's mission: Changing Bodies... Changing Lives, one person at a time.
Clint has a broad range of experiences as a professional athlete,
collegiate strength coach, and personal trainer which give him a unique
ability to work with individuals of any age at all levels of fitness.
Clint enjoys several outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, fly
fishing, mountain biking, running, snowboarding, and especially golf.
His passion for strength training and fitness comes from his background
as a competitive baseball player.
Clint completed his playing career with the New York Yankees
organization where he spent two seasons at the A-advanced level in
Tampa, Florida. Prior to playing professionally with the Yankees, Clint
received a full athletic scholarship to play at McNeese State
University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He graduated Magna Cum Laude
with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from McNeese State. Clint
also played baseball at Lamar Community College in Lamar, Colorado
where he was named First Team All-Region IX Catcher and also received
NJCAA Academic All-American honors in his sophomore season.
In addition to a career in athletics, Clint has worked as the strength
and conditioning coordinator and graduate assistant baseball coach for
Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS). During his time at LSUS
Clint earned a Masters Degree in Exercise Science. He also worked at
the USA Olympic Weightlifting Development Center located on the campus
of LSUS, which led to appointments at the United States Olympic
Training Center in Colorado Springs working for USA Weightlifting.
Clint takes pride in educating his clients so they can continue on
their lifelong journey of health and fitness. Whether you are trying to
get in the best shape of your life or looking to improve your golf
swing so you can play better golf, Clint can help you achieve those
goals. He is certified through the NSCA as a Certified Strength and
Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
